Sportage is in second place with 6,247 new units sold, while Rio landed on third place by selling 4,166 units.

Australia’s second top-selling car brand has only grown 5.3% this year. However, the Japanese car maker, which is a favourite of many auto repairs experts, sold 3,486 extra units by the end of July to bring in its total sales to 69,433. The CX-3 is Mazda’s best-selling model, selling 5,581 units.

4. Hyundai

Hyudai, which is the third best-selling car brand in Australia, grew only by 6% this year. However, it sold 3,343 new units by the second half of the year to record a total sale of 61,953.
